Facebook changes privacy settings: What you need to know

First and foremost, Facebook will make your data settings and tools easier to find.

The social media giant said it heard "loud and clear" that Facebook privacy tools and other settings related to user data have been hard to find for many users.

New changes for privacy and data won't be available immediately, but it will be released in the coming weeks, according to Facebook.

The new privacy shortcut menu will also allow people to make their account more secure, control personal information, control ads, and manage who sees the user's posts and profile information.

Electing to delete a category takes it off the Facebook servers, but the company says that just like deleting your account, it could take up to 90 days for that information to be completely wiped from their servers.

Facebook is also facing questions about reports that it collected years of contact names, telephone numbers, call lengths and information about text messages from Android users. They apply to any company that collects data on European Union residents, no matter where it is based. Facebook, essentially, is giving you the tools to roll back the clock a bit if this scandal has left you thinking that maybe you've shared too much about yourself throughout the years.

The move could fundamentally alter Facebook's hugely profitable advertising business, which has long let marketers narrowly target consumers using a blend of data from both Facebook and outside sources.

Hanumanthaiah got 44 and Hussain 42, while BJP's Rajeev Chandrashekar bagged 50, the highest among the four contestants. The BJP, too, will improve its tally in the House but at the expense of the JD (S) and not that of the Congress.

Like the case, the Crayon also has a rugged design that should survive better with the kids than the dainty Apple Pencil. Crayon does have support for tilt, though, with Logitech saying it also offers low latency and "sub-pixel precision".

SC to examine now validity of nikah halala, polygamy
Nikah Mutah or Nikah Misyar in actual terms is, in fact, a "pleasure marriage" which might be a verbal and temporary contract. The Court agreed to this and proceeded to refer the matter to a Constitution Bench, considering the importance of the matter.

In January, Zuckerberg set fixing Facebook as his personal challenge for 2018.

There is a new Facebook page - called Access Your Information - where users can see what they have shared and manage it.

The announcement is part of Facebook's efforts to answer the firestorm of criticism that's arisen in the wake of revelations that data from 50 million people was accessed by political consulting firm Cambridge Analytica without their permission. That included information on friends of people who had downloaded a psychological quiz app, even though those friends hadn't given explicit consent to sharing.

Until now, tech CEOs have generally sent lawyers or deputies to testify before Congress but lawmakers are demanding Zuckerberg appear in person. Separately, the attorneys general for 37 US states and territories sought details Monday on how Facebook monitored what app developers did with data collected on Facebook users and whether Facebook had safeguards to prevent misuse.

The US Federal Trade Commission this week said it had launched a probe into whether Facebook violated consumer protection laws or a 2011 court-approved agreement on protecting private user data.

The new home devices are part of Facebook's plan to become more intimately involved with users' everyday social lives, using artificial intelligence - following a path forged by Amazon.com Inc. and its Echo in-home smart speakers.

Facebook's website lists nine third-party data providers that it has worked with, including Acxiom, Experian, Oracle Data Cloud, TransUnion and WPP PLC.
