Apple is just as 'disappointed' with iPhone X sales as everyone else

The iPhone 8 has just received a new look with Apple recently unveiling its stunning (PRODUCT) RED edition. A shift to the iPhone X-like Face ID feature will only make the iPhone SE 2 more expensive and it's unlikely that Apple would want that to happen.

This means the gadget will be made out of glass and metal, something that in turn to show the arrival of wireless charging also. Launched in March 2016, iPhone SE was not only small in size like the phone's previous models but it was also affordable, unlike most of Apple devices which come with a hefty price tag. MacRumors tracked a variety of sources that are discussing the rumored iPhone SE update, including Mac Otakara, Economic Daily News, and the Chinese social network Sina Weibo (which posted a sketchy video that apparently depicts a second generation iPhone SE). To recall, both the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are built around Apple's custom-made A11 Bionic chipset that is controlled by iOS 11.

A report by the Economic Daily News previously claimed that one of Apple's manufacturers, Wistron, has been given the go-ahead to build a new factory, and it hints at a potential price for the iPhone SE 2. The speculations are based on the fact that the hardware of the entry-level priced iPhone SE is outdated. So far, Apple has donated over $160 million by selling RED products.

Sensing the need for a faster processor, iPhone SE 2 could be powered by a faster processor A10 Fusion chip-set, which is the same chip used in iPhone 7.

Another key apple supplier, AMS, which provide optical sensor in the iPhone X said that it expected sales for its second quarter to be in the range of $220 million to $250 million. The iPhone SE 2 has been in the news for the past week courtesy of a few leaks that have appeared online to reveal the features and specs of the device. This is because it still has leftover inventory of the iPhone X in stores which it needs to sell.

Earlier the grapevine suggested that the smartphone can have features which will be slightly larger 4.2-inch display, 2GB RAM, 32GB or 128GB inbuilt storage anyway.
