Colts' Andrew Luck hopes to be restriction-free come training camp

Colts' Andrew Luck hopes to be restriction-free come training camp

As the Colts officially opened their offseason program at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center, Luck admitted he still has work to do in the process to rehab his right shoulder that has been going on for more than a year.

Tuesday marked the first time in more than three months that the Indy quarterback took questions about his injury.

Luck's point was he no longer identifies with Hemingway's protagonist because he's gained renewed confidence in his shoulder - which underwent surgery for a torn labrum in January of 2017.

The Colts' franchise quarterback said he understands fans' skepticism about making a return this season, but he said "I appreciate their patience". The 28-year-old declined to share his timetable for a return to throwing, but he did emphasize that he has a plan in place and is hopeful to enter training camp without any limitations, per Mike Wells of ESPN. "What are you going to say that first meeting?'" Reich said.

"If I wasn't making progress, it would freak me out and we would have to change something".

Luck and the organization are taking a cautious stance this offseason after getting burned by their open optimism a year ago.

Hart focused on West Ham, not England
Early in the second half, Willian came close to securing a second from the edge of the box but saw his shot go wide of goal. There was also a minute's applause prior to kick-off, with the Chelsea players wearing black armbands in memory of Wilkins.

Ex-president Lula defies prison order
Luiz Inacio Lula's lawyers urged the Superior Court of Justice, Brazil's top appeals court, to suspend the prison order. Lula da Silva, who governed Brazil from 2003 to 2011, had been considered a frontrunner in elections due in October.

Still, it's progress. And it's a far cry from last October when Luck's throwing regimen suddenly stopped because of continued shoulder soreness.

Luck was asked about some changes he may have made during his rehab, and he responded by saying he is not changing his throwing motion, but there are "things in my throwing motion that i can do better".

"I feel stronger, I feel more fit", he said.

Although Luck is hoping to be ready for training camp, he wouldn't reveal when he might be ready to throw an NFL football. "There is still a bit of a journey left and I'm not going to skip any steps".

A general view of the stage is seen as the Indianapolis Colts announce their pick during the 2015 NFL Draft at Roosevelt University on Thursday, April 30, 2015 in Chicago, Ill.
