LeBron dominates as Cavs close out Celtics in Game 7

LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers reacts after a basket in the fourth quarter against the Boston Celtics during Game 6 of the NBA Eastern Conference finals.

During the third quarter, James asserted his dominance in a pretty significant way, owning Terry Rozier with a vicious chase-down block on a would-be layup attempt.

Tired? Sure. The 33-year-old James will play his 100th game of the season Sunday in Boston and leads the league in postseason minutes played.

James has played more minutes and scored more points and had to do more than any other player on any team in these playoffs. I mean, best player in the game. Yeah, like every time we're out there,"Stevens said of James' greatness".

Pushed by a raucous crowd that wasn't so confident a few days ago, the Cavs held off Boston's comeback in the fourth quarter and squared a series that is now a best-of-three.

Al Horford put up zero points on 0-for-4 from the field, but he did have four rebounds and three assists in the first half. "It doesn't matter what the story line is going to be, it doesn't matter if we're picked to win or not".

Although Boston remains unbeaten at home in the playoffs, the Celtics know they can't afford to be complacent against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

"The 6'10", 250-pounder averaged 17.9 points and 9.3 rebounds on the season, and has been Cleveland's second-leading scorer in the regular season and playoffs.

LeBron James has not missed the NBA Finals since 2010.

Everyone’s Freaking Out About What Chris Paul Just Did
It would seem that under this circumstance, D'Antoni should still absolutely start Paul but then see how the game is flowing. The Rockets say Paul's strained right hamstring will be re-evaluated after the team returns to Houston following Game 6 .

"It's a heck of an accomplishment for our ball club to (to win) without our All Star forward for basically two games".

The Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers are among the top contenders - but where will James be playing next season?

The Cavaliers spent most of the third quarter, too, trying to fully overcome that 12-point hole they had fallen into in the first half - and used their defense to do it.

"I felt some pain throughout my entire right side of my ankle into my leg", he said.

By the end of the night, Green put up 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting to go along with eight rebounds.

"It feels good just to be able to play for another game", James said.

But Jeff Green, elevated to a starting role due to Love's injury, hit one of his two 3-pointers, and James fed Tristan Thompson the next trip down as the Cavaliers went back up four.

Aron Baynes and his Boston Celtics have failed to eliminate the Cleveland Cavaliers from the National Basketball Association playoffs after LeBron James delivered another Herculean performance. "We just didn't do it enough to get over that hump", C's guard Jaylen Brown said after the loss.

Celtics coach Brad Stevens considered changing his starting lineup, but made a decision to stick with the same first five - Brown, Jayson Tatum, Marcus Morris, Al Horford, and Terry Rozier - as the first three games.
