Mark Zuckerberg says Facebook to add dating service

He announced some new steps the company is taking, like building a new feature called "clear history".

Zuckerberg's appearance at the annual conference, called F8, caps a month during which he has tried to rebuild public trust in Facebook after a data privacy scandal. This feature will enable you to see the websites and apps that send us information when you use them, delete this information from your account, and turn off our ability to store it associated with your account going forward.

Zuckerberg recapped all the ways the site was addressing issues around election interference, fighting fake news and data privacy issues, claiming that what happened with Cambridge Analytica was a "major breach of trust".

A Facebook dating service makes flawless sense; in fact, it's a wonder that it hasn't happened sooner.

Clearly, Facebook can't stop investing in new tools to attract more users and keep them glued to its service.

So many people are single, Zuckerberg said, "so clearly there's something to do here!"

But the Daniels' camp says the contract is null and void because Trump never signed it so she should be allowed to speak. In the suit, Clifford said that Trump made "false and defamatory" statements about her in an April 18 tweet .

Philadelphia Eagles snag Avonte Maddox in fourth round of NFL Draft
The Eagles traded out of the first round on Thursday and moved from 32 to 52 before moving back down to 49. There is no reason why Goedert shouldn't see decent targets right out of the gate.

"Let's not do that again soon", he quipped as the screen showed an image of his hours-long testimony on Capitol Hill last month. Take the "unlocking" feature, for example, basically the only aspect of Facebook Dating that wasn't scalped from Tinder, Bumble, or Hinge.

During the Facebook developer's conference, Mark Zuckerberg stated that there would be a Facebook dating service.

While Zuckerberg repeatedly appealed to developers to join Facebook's cause to connect the world, he had one other announcement to win over the crowd: Everyone at the conference is receiving a free Oculus Go. The company expects more than 5,000 developers to attend. In addition to putting a tab in place for Groups, it is also launching a "Join Group" button that developers can put on websites, in emails, or in other places outside of Facebook to make joining groups easier.

"We're building things to bring people together", the Facebook CEO said at the conclusion of his speech.

Officials in the United Kingdom and USA have opened inquiries into Facebook and its privacy policies after it was revealed in March that Cambridge Analytica, a British-based political consulting firm, had amassed the personal information of 87 million Facebook users without their permission. Though the release date and rollout info for Facebook Dating won't be released until later this year, the fact that it got to this stage without seemingly anyone noting the potential user safety implications is telling.

"It's something privacy advocates have been asking for - and we will work with them to make sure we get it right", he wrote.
