Though the album came as a surprise, it is clear that it was in the works for quite some time, given that the power couple actually took over the Louvre to film it! Titled, Everything is Love, the album was released at the end of the last night of their On The Run II tour in London sending fans into a frenzy.

The following year, Jay-Z released "4:44", in which he admitted to cheating on his wife. Watch the music video above. This new album is credited also includes a cameo appearance from Blue Ivy an is credited to "THE CARTERS". He explained that, because Bey's music was progressing more quickly, Lemonade ended up coming out "as opposed to the joint album that [they] were working on".

The lyrics seem to confirm that Jay-Z turned down an offer to play the Super Bowl halftime show. Everything is Love suggests that the two have worked things out between them, and are very much a team, a family, moving forward. In the album, the couple can be heard opening up about everything from the love child rumour to the cheating scandal.

Additionally, West affirmed that they'd been making amends during his discussion with Charlamane, noting "We good", adding, "We texting each other, positive energy".
