England training note suggests Raheem Sterling will be dropped against Panama

The FC panel try to wrap their head around a leaked team sheet that revealed Marcus Rashford could replace Raheem Sterling in the England squad to face Panama.

Walker said Holland had apologised to the squad at Friday's training session for allowing the picture to be taken.

Gareth Southgate's side beat Tunisia 2-1 in their opening game but missed a series of first-half chances and needed a stoppage-time victor from captain Harry Kane to secure the three points.

Before leaving for Russian Federation, he was widely-criticised by the media for having a tattoo of a gun on his leg, with some more hysterical commentators calling for him to be dropped from the squad.

"They need to worry about us more than we have to worry about them".

England have been backed to beat Panama on Sunday - by a colony of World Cup-predicting ants. "I got the bed sheets", said Sterling, who nevertheless owed his sister a favour, as she used to travel with him on an eight-hour round trip to training at QPR.

The 22-year-old Tottenham star has been struggling with a thigh injury since the Tunisia game, missing consecutive days of training, and it appears that Southgate may not be willing to risk him unnecessarily.
