Trump calls for deporting illegal immigrants with 'no judges or court cases'

Replying to a tweet by President Donald Trump, who slurred amnesty-seeking immigrants as "these people" before saying he wanted a merit-based system of admitting possible new USA citizens, Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) reminded the president of his own ancestors' humble beginnings.

"Can not accept all of the people trying to break into our Country", he tweeted.

Mr. Trump said they should be deported with "no Judges or Court Cases".

It was unclear if Trump was advocating an expansion of the current law that allows expedited removal of illegal immigrants at the United States border, a policy his administration has embraced since he took office.

Trump's tweets came as House Republican leaders sought to get enough support for a bill that would fund the president's border wall that he promised Mexico would pay for, toughen immigration laws, and offer a path to citizenship for unauthorized immigrants brought to the children, known as "dreamers".

At that time, he also said in a speech to Washington's Federalist Society that while it was too late to find a replacement for Trump, that GOP voters should "Make sure he loses".

Starbucks to close 150 stores in 'densely penetrated markets'
Starbucks also said it will shift new store openings to under penetrated markets and slow licensed store growth. For the ubiquitous chain, moving slower and shutting unprofitable stores may trigger some deja vu.

Last week, Trump reversed a policy of separating families entering the US illegally at the border with Mexico.

Trump has made a crackdown on immigration a key element of his administration. In the survey conducted Thursday and Friday, 72% of all adults responding said they opposed the family-separation policy and 51% of Republicans said they favored it.

Stopping short of suggesting he might oppose President Trump in a 2020 primary, Flake told ABC's George Stephanopoulos he hopes "somebody does".

President Donald Trump might have killed whatever chance House Republicans had of passing immigration legislation next week by telling them to stop "wasting their time" on the issue until after the November elections. Trump said during a round-table discussion in May.

"When the president says that and calls them clowns and losers, how does he expect the Democrats to sit down and work with Republicans on these issues? Grit their teeth for four years and win the White House", adding, "This is not my party". Intense criticism of the policy caused Trump to sign an executive order last week to end the separation of families.

A 1997 landmark case known as the Flores settlement governs how children are handled in immigration custody and generally prevents the government from keeping them in detention, even with their parents, for more than 20 days.
