What John McEnroe has said of Serena Williams' seeding debate at Wimbledon

Australian Open champion Caroline Wozniacki has called for 23-times Grand slam victor Serena Williams to be seeded at next month's Wimbledon Championships ahead of the All England Club's meeting on Tuesday.

ESPN notes, "Before her pregnancy, Williams was ranked No. 1; she is now ranked No. 183, and did not receive a seed at Roland Garros".

Victory in the fourth all-Williams Wimbledon final made it 11 Grand Slams for Serena.

The news comes just weeks after the French Open came under fire for how it handled the ranking of Serena Williams.

Serena Williams says there are records she still wants to break - and she's ready to put in the hard work to do it.

Now stationed at No. 9 in the rankings: Venus Williams, herself a five-time solo Wimbledon champ, also with six doubles titles to her credit at SW19 alongside her younger sister. "I don't think there would be a player that would complain, especially the top ones, if she was one of the top eight".

Mo Salah considering quitting Egypt national team
That has been followed by Kadyrov granting honorary citizenship to Salah at a banquet on Friday night, as reported by Sky Sports. Reports that Salah could refuse to play in Egypt's final group game was rubbished by the player's agent and Salah himself.

Trump calls for deporting illegal immigrants with 'no judges or court cases'
Intense criticism of the policy caused Trump to sign an executive order last week to end the separation of families. Last week, Trump reversed a policy of separating families entering the US illegally at the border with Mexico.

‘I’m Proud Of Your Indomitable Spirit’: Buhari Praises Super Eagles
Victor Moses lofted a pass towards Ahmed Musa in the 49th minute, and he controlled the ball and smashed in the half volley. The Eagles flourished playing the 4-2-3-1 so much so that they qualified for Russian Federation 2018 with a game to spare.

And Wozniacki wants them to make an exception - a decision which would also reduce the risk of her facing Williams in the early rounds. Nor should they, in my opinion'. However they can be altered by a committee if necessary to produce a more balanced draw, although there were no changes past year.

"I think it's great, and I know that there is definitely some talks, and I'm sure that some rules are going to change in the near future about this".

"I'm a former player and I get it", Adams said. She's listed at +600 on the odds sheet, but she's playing well this year (having won the Birmingham Classic just last weekend) and is maybe a safer pick than some of the other favorites.

Serena Williams appears at an event to launch a national street art campaign with Allstate Foundation Purple Purse to make domestic violence and financial abuse visible, at TicTail Market, June 20, 2018, in NY.

Her coach Patrick Mouratoglou expects her to compete at Wimbledon though and even make a deep run in the tournament. "I don't think I would've won if I was not pregnant", she said. After receiving a first-round bye in Rome, Muguruza lost in the second round to Daria Gavrilova. "Plus at Wimbledon she will have the small advantage because she has the serve, which can take her out of bad situations", he said.

Caroline Wozniacki believes the Wimbledon seeding committee will award Serena Williams a seeding on Wednesday.
