Liverpool make offer for Roma's Alisson Becker but no fee agreed

Liverpool have tested Roma's resolve with a €70m bid for Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson.

Liverpool have offered £62million plus add-ons, but Roma are set to ask for around £4m more.

Since the start of 2018, Liverpool have been strongly linked with an approach for the Brazil worldwide due to the inconsistent form of both Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet.

The need for a top goalkeeper is clear and with Liverpool making moves to ensure it isn't a problem area for years to come, the Reds will go into the new season with heightened chances of winning silverware.

The Italian side have not accepted any bid for their goalkeeper at this time, but there seems to be an acceptance that they will allow him to leave and Liverpool are now the front runners in the race to sign him.
