Trump brands Russian Federation a ‘foe’

Trump brands Russian Federation a ‘foe’

The president flew in from Scotland, where he and his wife, Melania, spent the weekend at a golf resort he owns there.

But the USA leader would not say whether he would demand the extradition of 12 Russian intelligence officers who were indicted last week by United States special prosecutor Robert Mueller, for allegedly hacking Trump rival Hillary Clinton's computer server.

Clinton's remark comes after Trump received sweeping criticism for his comments about Putin and the U.S. intelligence assessment of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Jon Huntsman, the USA ambassador to Russian Federation, tried rebranding the event in an interview on NBC's Meet the Press on Sunday from Norway's capital.

"He has already said that he has asked Putin about meddling, Putin told him he didn't do it, and he believed him", Murphy said on ABC's This Week.

"I have great confidence in my intelligence people".

He described the European Union as a "foe", particularly on trade. I have President Putin. He just said it's not Russian Federation. I will say this: "I don't see any reason why it would be".

The president hit the links both days. His remarks reflected one of this president's core beliefs: that America is exploited by its allies. "The damage inflicted by President Trump's naiveté, egotism, false equivalence, and sympathy for autocrats is hard to calculate".

If his instinct proves right and the pair find common ground, then the summit may take the heat out of some of the world's most unsafe conflicts including Syria.

"The president must appreciate that Russian Federation is not our ally", Ryan said, in what was, for the mild-mannered speaker, akin to a reprimand. The diplomat adds that "the collective blood pressure between the United States and Russian Federation is off-the-charts high, so it's a good thing these presidents are getting together". "The United States must be focused on holding Russian Federation accountable and putting an end to its vile attacks on democracy".

Thousands take to London's streets to protest at Trump visit
Last night Mr Trump touched down in Scotland en route to his golf course at Turnberry for the private leg of his visit. All told, they're planning more than 60 marches around the country, with the biggest expected for Friday in London .

Following the one-on-one meeting, Trump and Putin began a larger meeting with other USA and Russian officials, and will end the summit with a joint press conference. Trump ignored those warnings.

But Trump, convinced his unique brand of diplomacy can win over Putin, pressed ahead and looked forward to "having an extraordinary relationship" as the pair sat down to discuss global hotspots.

Paul also says Putin isn't going to extradite the 12 Russian military intelligence officials charged with hacking Democrats. Mark Warner of Virginia, the top Democrat on the Senate intelligence committee. "So this is an attempt to see if we can defuse and take some of the drama and quite frankly some of the danger out of the relationship right now".

Questions are swirling about whether Trump will sharply rebuke his Russian counterpart for the election meddling that prompted a special counsel probe.

"Please disregard this issue and don't think about it again", Putin said.

President Donald Trump says the testimony of an FBI agent who was removed from the special counsel's Russian Federation investigation was "an absolute disgrace".

Top Democrat Sen. Chuck Schumer of NY said never in the history of the country has a USA president supported an adversary the way Trump supported Putin.

"We have frankly not been getting along too well for the last number of years ... as I campaigned, getting along with Russian Federation is a good thing not a bad thing", Trump said.

The leaders also met last autumn during a separate summit in Vietnam.
