Unai Emery promises to help Mesut Ozil on his Arsenal return

Mesut Ozil will travel with Arsenal for their pre-season tour of Singapore, new head coach Unai Emery has confirmed. His second came two minutes later, a real poachers effort, heading from inside the six-yard box following good work from Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

"The national team didn't do the result they wanted, but today he's on holiday".

Supporters were thrilled to see new signing Stephan Lichtsteiner roaring instructions at his Swiss teammates during the World Cup, which is precisely why Emery made the 34-year-old the first arrival of the post-Arsene Wenger era at the Emirates.

"I want to work with him with a new way and with an ambition to continue with this quality and help with this quality, getting better with the team".

There are rumours that Mesut Ozil world like to retire from worldwide football after he received much criticism from everyone but this would be good news for Arsenal because he would now fully focus on the gunners.

Barcelona have also emerged as admirers of the player but Arsenal are very much in the driving seat to secure his signature.

Ozil has yet to return to the club after crashing out of the World Cup with Germany at the group stage, but when asked how he will go about addressing Ozil's form, Emery told the media: "We are here to help every player". Arsenal have more serious warm-up matches against Atletico Madrid, Paris St-Germain, Chelsea and Sevilla before starting the season at home to defending Premier League champions Manchester City.

That could give Arsenal an edge in their season opener against Manchester City, who had seven players take part in the World Cup semifinals and may not be back in time for the August 12 game.

"At the moment, I think the squad is complete".
