Grading the Bears: Tough night for many vs. Packers QB Aaron Rodgers

According to Al Michaels, who was calling the game, the Packers' erasing of a 17-point deficit was the largest fourth quarter comeback in Packers history.

Before Rodgers hurt his knee after getting sacked by Bears defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris, he was 3-for-7 for 13 yards, no touchdowns and a 45.0 passer rating.

The quarterback initially tried to get up, then went back down, and was attended to by trainers.

While Packers fans feared the worst, Rodgers surprised nearly everyone by coming out on the sideline for the second half.

Davante Adams then found a connection with Rodgers, taking a pass and going 51 yards downfield to set up his later touchdown reception from 12 yards out to make it 20-17. He was seen shaking his head when he finally made it onto the cart headed for the locker room.

After Rodgers left the game in the first half, football fans were anxious he might be gone for the game, if not weeks.

That comeback was highlighted by a 75-yard touchdown pass to Randall Cobb that put the Packers up for good.

Rodgers was carted off the field in the first half after a knee injury, and the Bears built a 20-0 lead to take into halftime. In that game, Rodgers suffered a calf injury in the second quarter but returned early in the third in a 14-all tie to lead two touchdown drives en route to a 30-20 win and another division crown.

"It was going to have to take something really catastrophic injury-wise to keep me off the field in the second half", Rodgers said.

B | Jordan Howard (15 carries, 82 yards) almost finished off the Packers late in the fourth quarter, breaking off 16- and 11-yard runs. He also ran for 32 yards on seven carries, including a 2-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.

Was it Mack's lack of a preseason that stole a quarter step from him late in the game? "We had to get adjusted and I think that first couple drives we were trying to do too much". I'll bet Jon Gruden and his coaching staff stayed disciplined and mainly steered away from the televisions tonight, but the players were watching.
