Jimmy Garoppolo injury: 49ers quarterback done for season with torn ACL

Desperate times call for desperate measures, so the San Francisco 49ers will begin replacing Jimmy Garoppolo by working out Tom Savage, per Jordan Schultz of ESPN.

It's a devastating blow to the 49ers and their young quarterback, who entered the 2018 season with major expectations.

They announced Monday that Garoppolo sustained a torn left ACL in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs. Beathard is now the only other quarterback on San Francisco's roster, so he'll presumably start in Garoppolo's absence barring a trade or free-agent signing. The Niners struggled with Beathard last season before the midseason addition of Garoppolo changed their fortunes.

Pilots forget to pressurise cabin, causing passengers to bleed
Around 30 passengers experienced nose and ear bleeds while, some even complained of headache. The passengers are now being treated at the Mumbai airport.

The 49ers quarterback had to be carted off the field Sunday after his knee appeared to buckle before a vicious hit in a game in which Kansas City was leading 38-27 in the fourth quarter. Among the ideas to salvage the year was to sign Colin Kaepernick, who was on the team from 2011-2016 and led the 49ers to the 2012 Super Bowl.

Savage spent the summer with the New Orleans Saints in a bid to win the backup quarterback gig, but didn't inspire confidence in the Saints' coaches.

Coming into this season, Garoppolo was 7-0 in his career between the New England Patriots and the 49ers with 12 touchdowns and five interceptions. "It really helps having gone through it and having that experience".
