Modric beats Ronaldo, Salah for UEFA Men's Player of the Year award

Modric beats Ronaldo, Salah for UEFA Men's Player of the Year award

Croatian captain and Real Madrid mid-fielder, Luka Modric, has been declared the Player of the Year by UEFA.

Real Madrid, who beat Liverpool 3-1 in last year's final, cleaned up in the Uefa awards, with their players winning in all the categories.

He further went on to described the decision by the UEFA as "embarrassing".

The director of public relations at Real Madrid, Emilio Butragueño, produced his best poker face when asked to give his verdict on the Champions League draw for his team.

In a protracted draw ceremony in Monaco, Europe's elite 32 teams learned their fate in this season's Champions League group stage, as the European club season slowly begins to take center stage once more.

"This is not the victor, he's (Modric) the best player in the world in his position", said Mendes.

'I think he [Cristiano] likes to come. "Each single game will be decisive and we need to continue with the characteristic which Juve always have, which is of being a determined, motivated side", he said.

Cindy McCain on Sen. John McCain's passing: 'My heart is broken'
A former Vice President, Joe Biden , said "As a POW, John endured the worst of what human beings can do to one another". " John McCain was a man of deep conviction and a patriot of the highest order", said former president George W.

Mourinho defends players, record after Spurs loss
Maybe it's easy to score but after 1-0 you want to play safe and say, "OK, come on, let's play safe and finish the game 1-0". We've seen this movie before with the Special One, who famously wore out his welcome at Chelsea (twice) and at Real Madrid.

At least 7 dead after Greyhound bus, semitrailer collide head-on
Nearby was an overturned vehicle and what appeared to be a truck trailer on its side, with contents spilled on the median. The bus, carrying 48 or 49 passengers, was heading from Albuquerque to Phoenix, with a final destination of Los Angeles.

That's pretty incredible to think about; Messi and Ronaldo are unprecedented in the history of European football and we nearly certainly won't see their like for a very long time, if ever.

Ronaldo and his new club Juventus were paired with Manchester United in Group H. The Portuguese superstar played for United between 2003 and 2009. They won four of the last five, and the last three in a row.

They round off the group stage with a trip to Valencia on Wednesday, December 12.

Keylor Navas won the goalkeeper of the season award, Sergio Ramos was voted the best defender, while Cristiano Ronaldo claimed the forward of the season award.

"It could have been worse, but we cannot afford negligence if we want to finish first", said Bayern forward Thomas Mueller.

Monaco did not make it out the group stages previous year after their 2017 semi-final, and Dortmund failed at the same stage.
