There is already a Tropical Storm watch issued for these destinations.

Officials in the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe closed schools Thursday and Friday as a preventive measure. The system is moving toward the west northwest near 16 miles per hour or 26 km/h. maximum sustained winds are near 50 miles per hour or 85 km/h with higher gusts.

At 11 a.m. EDT (1500 UTC) on September 26 the center of Tropical Storm Kirk was located near latitude 12.1 degrees north and longitude 54.3 degrees west.

Another system, about 260 miles south of Cape Hatteras, N.C., could become a tropical depression today as it moves northwestward.

NHC says Kirk will move across the Lesser Antilles within the tropical storm warning area during the next several hours.

Hurricane Rosa is expected to weaken Saturday and Sunday. "We are still in the peak of the 2018 hurricane season, Virgin Islanders must continue to remain vigilant and prepared".
