We've all been saying Chrissy Teigen's name wrong

We've all been saying Chrissy Teigen's name wrong

Chrissy Teigen is a model and author outside of her high-profile marriage to John Legend, but some people seem to forget that.

Taking to her Twitter account, the brunette beauty uploaded a video of her swollen knee and said: "Errr I just fell down the stairs".

Continuing the discussion on her Twitter feed she admitted: "I don't correct people, ever. They can call me Janet and I won't", she added.

Even she gave up and started pronouncing it the wrong way too!

The whole thing kicked off when a college student expressed shock that most people don't correctly pronounce Ariana Grande's last name.

It turns out that not only has the public been mispronouncing her last name for well over a decade, but Teigen herself is guilty of doing the same, all in an effort to avoid a potentially uncomfortable confrontation. During an August interview with Beats 1, Grande said her last name and pronounced it as "Gran-dee", as opposed to "Grahn-day".

"Word! Gave up a long time ago", she tweeted at a fan about the matter on Sunday. "I'll change my flight", she continued while responding to another fan.

American news anchor Heidi Alagha also deemed it fit to critique Teigen's relevance.

"Chrissy Teigen is lovely but does she have to be included in everything just because she's married to John Legend?". Teigen got her mom Vilailuck - who famously lives with Teigen and Legend - to chime in.

Meanwhile, another Twitter user wasn't happy about Chrissy presenting an award onstage with her husband, John Legend.

Needless to say: Leave Chrissy alone!
