Donald Trump denies unsecured phone calls

President Donald Trump still uses his three iPhones - two official, one personal - on a regular basis to call friends, business partners and acquaintances, despite warnings from us intelligence that Chinese and Russian agents may be privy to the president's conversations.

According to a report by the New York Times, Trump's associates have warned him repeatedly that his calls are not secure and that Russian spies are spying on them.

Mr Trump pushed back against the idea that he uses insecure mobile phones, tweeting that he only uses government phones "and have only one seldom used government cell phone".

Meanwhile, Trump also repudiated the reported and tweeted "story is soooo wrong!" He has refused to give this up, despite repeated requests by his officials, who have been asking him to make more use of the secure land lines.

Trump uses the phones to speak to "old friends", and domestic spy agencies have determined China is seeking to use information from the calls to keep a trade war with the US from escalating, the paper said, citing unidentified current and former USA officials. White House Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley said the President has only one official government iPhone, the security of which follows industry best practices and is closely managed under government supervision in conjunction with recommendations from industry partners.

According to the NYT, US spy agencies have determined that China and Russian Federation are "eavesdropping" on President Donald Trump's phone calls.

More Suspicious Packages Sent to Robert De Niro, Joe Biden
Trump frequently labels stories he doesn't like as "fake news". "It has gotten so bad and hateful that it is beyond description". The agents were reportedly tipped off that the package had been sent to Biden, but was sent back to its return address.

Trump's two official iPhones come with National Security Agency protections and it should be very hard for anyone to intercept conversations when he is using them.

"Reading this report, I feel that today in the United States there really are some people who are doing their utmost to win best script at the Oscars", Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying told a news conference on Thursday.

In accusing the newspaper of fabricating news, Hua echoed language used by Trump, who has often accused the New York Times of making up stories.

"I suggest they replace their phones with Huawei (Chinese mobile phone manufacturer) ones", Hua was cited as saying by Efe news.

As per the report, USA intelligence officials have found that China is seeking to use information collected from Trump's personal calls to keep a trade war with the United States from escalating further.

The agencies were said to have learned of the eavesdropping from people inside foreign governments and through intercepting communications between foreign officials, the report said.
