ISIS took 700 hostages, including USA citizens, in Syria: Putin

An administration official confirmed on Friday that during his meetings next week with Russian officials, National Security Adviser John Bolton will inform Russia that the US intends to pull out of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Treaty, also known as the INF. Trump says Moscow has violated the agreement, but provided no details.

The United States is going to unilaterally withdraw from a decades-old treaty with Russian Federation that bans a wide array of nuclear weapons, US President Donald Trump has said.

The newspaper said the United States believes Russian Federation is violating the deal by deploying tactical nuclear weapons in places like Russia's Kaliningrad enclave on the Baltic Sea to intimidate former Soviet allies in Eastern Europe that have joined the Western bloc.

"Without question, Russian Federation is violating the INF treaty". "And we're not going to let them violate a nuclear agreement and go out and do weapons and we're not allowed to".

Mr Putin said the weapons made NATO's US-led missile defence system "useless" and signalled the end to Western efforts to check Russia's nuclear ambitions. China is not now party to the pact.

Bolton will also travel to Azerbaijan for discussions on a range of regional issues including Iran, before continuing to Armenia and Georgia. His first stop is Moscow to meet with senior Russian officials at a time when Moscow-Washington relations remain frosty over the Ukrainian crisis, the war in Syria and allegations of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential race and upcoming USA midterm elections.

A conflict in eastern Ukraine in which more than 10,000 people have lost their lives has been ongoing for the last four years, as Kiev struggles to pull itself out of Russia's orbit. "They think if they threaten the West properly, it gets scared". The U.S. State Department later said Moscow had begun deploying the missile.

Russian Federation has said little about its new missile other than to deny that it is in breach of the agreement.
