Mega Millions Jackpot Now The Biggest In History

Tickets will be sold for $2 each until 10:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Mega Millions is one of the two major multi-state lotteries in the United States.

The victor might opt for the cash prize of more than $270 million, from which the federal government will take 25% right away, and more later.

So, in one single weekend, more than $1 billion will shoot out across America to its very luckiest citizens.

The 24 semi-weekly Mega Millions drawings have failed to produce a top victor since July 24, when an 11-member office pool in Santa Clara County, California, shared a US$543 million jackpot. In October 2017, Mega Millions lottery officials made adjustments to the potential number combinations to decrease the chances of winning its biggest prize.

The winning numbers are 15-23-53-65-70. Mega Millions says it may take an hour or two to determine if there is a victor.

The jackpot grew more than $400 million since Tuesday night, when the payout would have been $667 million. Right now, we don't know yet if anyone won the Mega Millions billion-dollar jackpot.

However, that jackpot ended up yielding three winning tickets worth $327 million each.

Tickets cost $2, which seems like a relatively small price to pay for a chance at becoming rich. "I wish I would've got in line".
