Paris Masters: Djokovic's epic victory over Federer among the hardest wins

Paris Masters: Djokovic's epic victory over Federer among the hardest wins

The 37-year-old returned to play in the French capital for the first time since 2015 this week at the Paris Masters, where he lost to Novak Djokovic in three sets in the semi-finals.

But the 20-time grand slam champion, Federer, fought back and finished the 2nd set 7-5, to send the match to a decider, where Djokovic finished it 7-6, to wrap-up an epic match in 3 hours and 6 minutes. However, that didn't mean that Federer won't make him sweat and Djokovic had to endure much more than he expected in the semi-final match before he eventually won 6-7, 7-5, 6-7.

Should he win the title on Sunday, Djokovic will equal Nadal's record of 33 Masters triumphs.

Khachanov, 22, shrugged off complaints from Zverev over noise coming from the Russian player's box during the match. "I came here to Paris with no expectations and figuring that I'd just play a match or two, thinking I'd probably lose because I was too exhausted after Basel".

"I'll probably be able to speak more profoundly about it when the season is done and hopefully if I get to finish as No. 1".

The 31-year-old, now unbeaten in 22 matches, is a four-time victor of the Paris Masters.

What are the 2018 midterm elections and why do they matter?
Young people, who historically sit out of midterm elections , and women are both expected to be pivotal forces Tuesday. He tweaked the words to some of his old favourites. "It's been two insane years and it's time to really switch gears".

Iran supplied 18.4 million tonnes of crude oil between April 2017 and January 2018 (first 10 months of fiscal 2017-18). India has held several rounds of conversations with the US, Iran and and other stakeholders on the issue.

Newlyweds killed in helicopter crash hours after wedding in US
The Federal Aviation Administration, which is assisting, said the aircraft "crashed under unknown circumstances in a remote area". The helicopter had taken off a few kilometres away from the family ranch in Uvalde, Texas , where the ceremony was held.

Then, with Djokovic clearly breathing harder, he earned the decisive break to go 2-1 up in the second set after the Serbian pushed a weary-looking backhand into the net. "Maybe I'm not crying, but still I'm really happy".

Federer advanced to their 47th career meeting by beating Kei Nishikori 6-4, 6-4, his sixth straight win against the Japanese player.

Djokovic, victor of the Wimbledon and US Open championships this year, will now face Roger Federer or Kei Nishikori for a place in Sunday's final. "And I told him to tell him to keep it down a little bit because he was going a little bit too much over the edge".

Cilic and Thiem sealed the last two spots for the season-ending ATP Finals in London, starting on November 11. "If you keep maintaining the level what you play, I think that's the main reason why these matches actually I won". But already established player, top player.

Khachanov is the first Russian to win an ATP 1000 Masters tournament after Nikolay Davydenko who won in 2009. And he showed great quality today and he showed why we're going to see a lot of him in the future.

A far tougher test lies in store for Federer, however, with Djokovic up next and on a 21-match winning run as he bids for a fourth consecutive title.
