Pete Davidson Calls Ariana Grande 'A Wonderful Person' On SNL

In a twitter exchange with fans, Grande discussed the inspiration behind the forthcoming project which she declared will be named, Thank U, Next.

According to TMZ, Grande released the track ahead of anything her most recent ex, Pete Davidson, might have to say on the latest episode.

Pete Davidson, Big Sean and Ricky Alvarez are all mentioned and she also pays tribute to Mac Miller, who she calls an "angel".

Near the end of his sketch, Davidson addressed the audience more seriously about ending his engagement to Grande in an unusual turn.

Ariana planned a preemptive strike in case Pete threw shade on her. releasing her new song - and making specific reference to him - just 30 minutes before SNL went live on TV.

In a promo for this week's show Davidson poked fun at the whirlwind romance by pretending to propose to musical guest Maggie Rogers. As to what kind of drink it was, Bergen quipped: "All I know is it's got a lot going on, but it still gets the job done". "Sometimes things just don't work out and that's okay. Now, please go vote on Tuesday, all right?"
