Shah Rukh Khan’s earnest request for Zero

Despite having zero competition at the box office, the SRK's solo movie released this week failed to generate great business. "The movie opened quite well at the box office (Rs 20 crore), but on the second day (Rs 16 crore) itself, the collections started to dip", a news report said. The film's total earning by Sunday stands at Rs 107 crore.

Zero, which also features Anushka Sharma as Aafia Yusufzai Bhinder and Katrina Kaif as Babita Kumari, has garnered over INR 200 million on day one. "How much does it drop after the weekend remains to be seen", says a trade expert.

The father-son chemistry between Tigmanshu Dhulia and Shah Rukh Khan is one of the positives from the movie. However, the film turned out to be a mixed affair, leaving many disappointed by it. With Shetty's Simmba breathing down heavily on Zero by virtue of it's release next week, and will need to add a few zeroes to its box office quickly.
