Nope, Respawn isn't making Titanfall 3

While the game is set in the Titanfall universe, it's a little bit different than prequels Titanfall and Titanfall 2.

Highlight search, then type in "Apex Legends".

Apex Legends, the anticipated free-to-play first-person shooter from Titanfall 2 developer Respawn Entertainment, is out now on the PlayStation 4. Apex Legends is set in the same universe as Titanfall and features "a cast of unique characters, squad-based gameplay, innovative mechanics and more".

Apex Legends features human and robotic heroes called Legends who each have their own special abilities and weapons. There are no titans in Apex Legends, which is why this isn't launching with Titanfall in the name. Each game holds up to 60 players with three players to a team. The descriptions says that they are "Computer game software; Video game software; Downloadable computer game software via a global computer network and wireless devices" and "Entertainment services, namely, providing an on-line computer game". Crafting Metals, meanwhile, can be obtained in Apex Packs, and they are used to unlock weapon skins and other cosmetics.

"Apex Legends" is aiming to innovate in the battle royale genre, implementing the Jumpmaster system, which lets players choose where they're dropping into the map. Not necessarily because it's just come out and is being downloaded a lot, which it certainly is, but also because it's actually tricky to locate in digital stores.

Twitter user Ben Morrow has leaked a few low-res images that appear to reveal some of the characters that you'll be able to play as in the game, in what seems like a fairly Overwatch-y setup.
